The Secretariat

The Union is headquartered in Ghana under a headquarter agreement with the Government of Ghana, the principal donor of the Union. The Secretariat, which is the headquarters of the Union, is the statutory governing body under the All-Africa Students Union (AASU) tasked with the responsibility of running the day-to-day activities of the Union, and acts as the Union’s operative arm in between Congress (the highest organ of the Union). The Secretariat is headed by the Secretary General, and supported by other elected officials from different countries and a technical staff seconded by the Government of Ghana.
