Accra, 16 December 2025 – The All-Africa Students Union (AASU) wishes to formally announce the successful conduct and conclusion of the second and final phase of elections for the 14th Elective Congress, held on Monday, 15 December 2025.

In accordance with the AASU Constitution and the Electoral Guidelines of the 14th Elective Congress, the second phase of elections was conducted to fill outstanding Executive Committee and Secretariat positions. This phase followed the settlement of outstanding financial obligations by concerned member organisations, which placed all nominated candidates in good standing.

Following a transparent and orderly voting process, the Electoral Commission hereby declares the following candidates duly elected:

With the successful conclusion of this second phase, the electoral process for the 14th Elective Congress of AASU is now complete, and all constitutional leadership positions have been duly filled.

The Union congratulates all elected officers and commends member organisations for their commitment to strengthening the democratic principles that have defined the Union since its establishment over five decades ago.

The newly elected leadership is expected to assume office in January 2026 in accordance with the provisions of the AASU Constitution and to work collectively towards advancing the welfare, rights, and aspirations of African students across the Continent and in the diaspora.
