Accra, 23 November 2025 – The All-Africa Students Union (AASU) wishes to formally announce the successful conclusion of the first phase of elections for the 14th Elective Congress, held on Saturday, 22 November 2025.
In accordance with the AASU Constitution and the Electoral Guidelines of the 14th Elective Congress, the elections were conducted for offices for which candidates have been nominated by member organisations in good financial standing.
For this first phase, the Electoral Commission conducted elections for the following offices, and has declared the following candidates duly elected:

The Union congratulates the elected officers and commends all participating member organisations for upholding the democratic values that have guided AASU since its establishment for over five decades ago.
THE SECOND PHASE OF THE 14TH ELECTIVE CONGRESS AND OUTSTANDING POSITIONS TO BE FILLED
AASU wishes to notify all stakeholders that this represents the first phase of the elections for the 14th Elective Congress. THE SECOND PHASE OF THE 14TH ELECTIVE CONGRESS WILL BE CONDUCTED ON 15TH DECEMBER 2025. The following Executive Committee and Secretariat positions remain outstanding and will be contested during the second phase of elections:
