Day 1 of the Eco Ambassadors Training Workshop 2025 kicked off at the Association of African Universities with powerful energy and purpose!
We were honored to host inspiring voices in climate leadership:
Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed (Minister for Environment, Science, Tech & Innovation) delivered a bold keynote on Youth as Agents of Green Transformation—highlighting Ghana’s shift to EVs and the fight against illegal mining.
Hon. Dr. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo (Minister for Labour, Jobs & Employment) spoke on Green Jobs & Youth Employment, urging young people to lead innovation through climate action.
Eduard Beukman (Oxfam Africa) joined virtually with a strong call for youth-led systemic change through education and collaboration.
Prof. Olusola B. Oyewole (AAU Secretary General) challenged participants to be bold Eco Ambassadors and use knowledge as a tool for environmental justice.
We also had brilliant sessions from Daniel Owiredu, Jacob Johnson Attakpah & Maxwell Beganim, fueling the movement for a sustainable future.
The journey has just begun. Africa’s youth are rising to take Climate action.
